MBS Staycation

MBS hotel stay -- can see the big balcony

Had MBS staycation for several times.  This time is the first time I get a big balcony like that shown in the photograph above.  Watch the video of the whole room here.  It was so nice.  Not only was it spacious, they even have sofa for you to sit at the balcony.  There was also a side table for you to put drinks and food.  Staying at MBS, you also can book slots for the swimming pool, gym and spa.  It was very useful time spent over there.  The most fun time spend there was going to the casino!

Food Court at MBS - Singapore Fried Noodle

Yesterday being Wednesday, the food court was not crowded.  This is the second time I going to buy Soft shell crab fried hokkien noodle.  It is expensive and cost $18, but it was good.  The soft shell crab was very crispy.  They packed the soft-shell crab separately as shown below in the paper box.  I asked the stallholder to put in 2 scoop of chilli.  Then I add in 5 small lime!  It was nice with more lime.  The noodle tasted spicy and a bit sour and saltiness from the crab.

It was very fun in the casino.  I played Jackpot and blackjack at the casino.  I would like to go casino again.

Emotions

Photograph of the scenery observed from the corridor of 37th floor of MBS

We had a holiday staycation at Marina Bay Sand this year on 3 January 2021 to 5 January 2021.  It was a very last minute booking because the hotel informed my mother very late.  As soon as I received the news that we were able to book for the hotel, I quickly called up to ask and began to book for a room.  The hotel staff was very approachable and courteous in answering the phone call.  They were very patient as well.  So through the phone, I finally booked the room.

At home, we quickly packed our belongings, had a total of 2 luggage in total.  We were excited about the staycation.  We had only 3 person going to stay over there -- Clara, Isaac and me.  We cannot have the whole family to go because we need to think of Dora.  There was no one to babysit Dora!  So in the end, Ricsson would stay at home to look after Dora.

Soon the day arrived.  We took a cab to MBS.  My mother was there to book in the hotel.  We had our keys and proceed to the room next.  At the corridor, we could see the Singapore Flyer as seen in the photograph above.  Inside the hotel room, we were able to see Gardens By the Bay as seen in the photograph below.

Photograph of the Isaac playing the Nintendo switch

Inside the hotel, the children played Nintendo switch.  We took photographs of the wonderful view from the balcony.  Our hotel room was on the 37th floor, so the view was amazing.  The first two days, there were no sunlight, as it was rather cloudy.  On the third day, we were able to see the sun finally as shown in the photograph above.

We went to the Satay Club to eat satays on the first night at the hotel.  On the second night, we walked around the hotel premises.  We were so happy enjoying this wonderful opportunities to be able to stay at the hotel.  However, back home, someone was missing us...

Photograph of Dora at home waiting for us

Ricsson took photograph of Dora and sent to us the photograph above.  Dora did not eat her food the whole day.  She was missing us.  She looked so sad in the photograph above.  It really pained my heart to see her looking so sad.  Tears filled my eyes when I saw the photograph.  I was hoping to go home quickly to see her.

On the last day of the staycation, we packed our things and took a cab home.  It was sad to leave the place, but we were eager to go home to meet Dora!

When we reached home, Dora was so excited to see us.  She greeted us with a "Meow" at the door when we opened the door.  We loved our adorable Dora so much.
