Unseen Relationship

Jesus Reinstates Peter (John 21:15-19)

15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” 17 The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. 18 Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” 19 Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

Do I love God?  This is a question I ask myself and also reflected when I saw instagram post when people ask, "Do you love God?" and also when I read the scripture above.

I used to tell myself, we cannot see God, how to love someone whom we cannot see?  That was like in my 30s or 40s. Now this question come back again...

Yesterday I brought Taco home from VES hospital (Veterinary Emergency and Speciality Hospital) (Whitley), he was sent to the hospital on Sunday due to urinary obstruction.  I was so happy when I learned that he could be sent home yesterday.  I was thankful to Jesus for bringing Taco back to me again.  On Sunday I was so worried for Taco.  The vet told me the procedure and the risk just in case Taco would not respond and need to do CPR.  She asked me, "Do you want us to do CPR on Taco?"  Taco is just 3 years 5 months old.  To do CPR, they would charge around $200++.  The hospital bill that I need to pay was already more than $1400++.  I told them of course I want to save my cat.  I love Taco.  I always see nice cats or special cats at the vet and even in VES hospital.  But deep in my heart, I still want Taco and love Taco, I don't want any other cat.

Taco's neighbour in the hospital

The above cat is nice and they are special cat, unlike Taco, a domestic stray cat.  But still I love Taco more.  When I left the hospital to go home (while Taco was under the care of the vet to do the unblocking of the urinary tract), I immediately asked Jesus to save Taco and protect Taco.  I do not want to lose Taco.  I realized that Jesus had always helped me since young.  And I had always seek His help.  I did not realize that it was a relationship until Father Terence's homily enlightened me in this point.

I realize that Jesus is always helping me in relieving my 'stress' or burden.  He is the one I turned to for help always.  So Do I love God?  I am still asking my heart, but I should say I love Him, especially for saving me, saving my soul by dying on the cross for men on earth.  Thank you Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-30 --  28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Spirit of God

Spirit of God

1.  Spirit of God in the clear running water
Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill.
Spirit of God in the finger of morning
fill the earth bring it to birth
     and blow where You will.

Chorus:
Blow, blow, blow till I be
But breath of the Spirit blowing in me.

2.  Down in the meadow the willows are moaning,
sheep in the pasture land cannot lie still.
Spirit of God, creation is groaning,
fill the earth bring it to birth
     and blow where You will.

3.  Spirit of God, ev'ry man's heart is lonely,
watching and waiting and hungry until,
Spirit of God, man longs that You only
fulfil the earth bring it to birth
     and blow where You will.

Spirit Song

Spirit Song

O, let the Son of God enfold you
with His spirit and His love.
Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
O, let Him have the things that hold you
and His spirit like a dove,
Will descend upon your life and make you whole

Chorus:
Jesus, O, Jesus
Come and fill Your lambs
Jesus, O, Jesus
Come and fill Your lambs

O, come and sing this song with gladness
as your hearts are filled with joy.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name.
O, give Him all your tears and sadness,
give Him all your years of pain.
And you'll enter into life in Jesus' name.

All Man's Labour Can Produce

All Man's Labour Can Produce

Refrain:
May this lowly bread and wine
Be the sacrifice divine
Of our Saviour Jesus Christ!
Of our Saviour Jesus Christ!

1.  All man's labour can produce,
    You have given for our use;
     Take, O Lord, our offering!

2. On this gift of bread and wine,
    Of our sacrifice a sign,
    Father, look with favour now!

3.  May this food which strength imparts,
     Bring refreshment to our hearts,
And a taste of joy to come!

St Anthony Church

Photo of St Anthony Church from far

I took the above picture and the pictures below yesterday.  I wanted to show the present now as compared to the St Anthony of several years back. The signage had been changed also but the words remains the same.  It read: Church of St Anthony: God Knows Your Past and He Offers You A Future

I have stayed in Woodlands for close to 30years.  Over the years I had seen the changes to the church -- the priests, the premises and the eucharistic celebrations.  In the early years the priests were Father John Khoo and Father Eugene Chong.  Now Father Eugene is back.  After that it was Father Vincent Chee, Father Terence and Father Cyril.  Next, it was Father Andrew, Father Gerard, Father John Lau... and now Father Ignatius.

I am very happy with the present church.  In the past, the speaker was not so good, I could not really hear the homily well from the back of the church.  Now the speaker is good, the priest speak audibly well, loud and clear.  I love to listen to their homily.

This is the church where Richard had his baptism and confirmation.  Last time it was RCIA.  My 3 children had their baptism in this church also.  They attended catechism classes here, received their First Holy Communion but never finished confirmation.

Mother Mary

Our Lady of Sorrows at St Anthony Church

Today 8 June 2025, I went to church.  It was Pentecost day.  There were incense and the priest wore red vestment.  The vestment was so nice.  There was a white dove on the vestment of Father Eugene.  After mass was over, I walked towards the above image where I saw everytime I went to mass.  Walking over there, I realised that the image was Our Lady of Sorrows.  This is a new addition to the renovated new church.

Devotion to Our Lady’s Sorrows has existed since the early centuries of the Church. It came into particular focus in the 13th century when Our Lady appeared to the Seven Founders of the Servite Order, giving them a black garment as their habit and asking them to meditate on her Sorrows. In the 14th century, Our Lady revealed to St. Bridget of Sweden seven special graces that she would grant to those devoted to her Sorrows. She spoke at length to St. Bridget about the Passion of her Son and her own Sorrows, and made these promises to those who would say seven Hail Marys daily while meditating on her tears and sufferings:
1.  I will grant peace to their families.
2.  They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.
3.  I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.
4.  I will give them as much as they as for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
5.  I will protect them against the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
6.  I will visibly help them at the moment of their death; they will see the face of their Mother.
7.  I have obtained the grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and dolors, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son and I will be their eternal consolation and joy.

Our Lady also told Marie Claire, one of the three Kibeho visionaries, that with the recitation of her Seven Sorrows Rosary:
- The hardest hearts will change.
- They shall be freed from obsessions and addictions.
- They will find the strength to repent and convert their hearts.
- They will obtain an understanding of the weaknesses that lead them to sin.
- Praying it from the heart, they will obtain whatever they ask.

Lobster Meal

Lobster Stew Bee Hoon from Pin Wei Seafood Village

This plate of lobster bee hoon cost $177.60.  We went to Limbang Shopping mall to have our Mother's day celebration last month.  This is a newly opened restaurant, so we wanted to try it out.  We also order soon hock fish and it was so expensive.  It cost $99.

Soon Hock Fish, $99

Though it is expensive, it is very nice.  The fish is so fresh.  So I still think it is worth it.  See more pictures of the meal, what we ordered and our pictures on this link here.

Receipt for the meal at Pin Wei Seafood Village

Lucky can use CDC voucher and I forked out a final cash of $180.14.  For this amount of money spent, I got back $20 vouchers from them.

Epson Printer L4366

New Epson Printer L4366

Bought a new Epson printer L4366.  I had been using Epson printer since 2015.  I had changed printers for 3 times.  This is the third time I buy Epson printer.  This is also the most expensive printer I had bought.  This Epson printer L4366 cost $444.60.  I bought it at Lazada, after deducting a $20 coupon, I paid $424.60.

Epson printer saves ink and can print many papers.   This is the best Epson printer so far.  It can print both sides without me having to take out the paper and feed it in again.  The older model of Epson need me to take out the paper and then put it back again if I wanted to print both sides.  Sometimes I forget the correct alignment to put in the feeder tray.  With this new printer L4366, I do not need to worry about taking out the paper and putting it back to print the other sides of the paper.  Just choose from the handphone app what you want to print, double sided, colour, and so on, and the document is all ready to be printed out.  When its done printing, you collect your documents and you just need to bind the copy.  You don't need to sort the papers too.

The best printer so far really.  It can print documents and photos directly from my handphone.  I don't need to on my computer.  All you need is connect the printer to a power source, connect to wifi and install Epson Smart Panel app on your handphone.  Then you can print your documents and photos already.  I love it so much.  Click this link to see the short video of my printer printing my document.
