Praise the Lord, Alleluia!!!

You make all things beautiful in your time!

In His Time Lyrics:
In his time, in his time
He makes all things beautiful In his time
Lord please show me everyday
As you're teaching me your way
That you do just what you say
In your time

You make all things beautiful In your time
Lord my life to you I bring
May each song I have to sing
Be to you a lovely thing
In your time

(instrumental)

Lord please show me everyday
As you teaching me your way
That you do just what you say
In your time

In your time (in your time), in your time (in your time lord)
You make all things beautiful In your time
Lord my life to you I bring
May each song I have to sing
Be to you a lovely thing
In your time
Be to you a lovely thing
In your time

What a perfect timing.  Today is the day after Good Friday where Jesus is Risen.  Happy Easter day and on this day, the eggs in the bird nest has hatched!  Last night, after midnight, the eggs were still not hatched.  Just now around noon, when I went to the garden to see the Green Chillies and the nest, I heard sound and it was the birds have hatched!!!  Praise the Lord, Alleluia!!!

In my garden, the seven stars needles flowers buds are plenty.  They were flourishing very well.  I am awaiting for the day to come when all the flowers bloom.  The chillies plants are growing very well too.  I am awaiting to see the chillies plants to grow bigger as well.

At Woodlands MRT station, the birds build their nest at holes at the control switch

A further view of the control switch where I saw the bird nest at Woodlands MRT Station

I was walking along the pathway between Woodlands MRT Station and Causeway Point.  Then a bird flew by and my eyes followed it.  It flew into the hole at the control switch.  It was the 'modern' bird nest of the birds.

John 14:23 -- Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

A Kind Soul

Blk 130 Jurong East (Jurong Gateway Road)

Met another kind soul on Saturday.  Mum and I went to Jurong East Blk 130, Jurong Gateway Road.  Mum need to go Radiologic Clinic for X-ray.  The clinic was going to close at 1pm, so we were rushing before it closed.

Johnny dropped us at the car park and then we need to walk to the Radiologic Clinic.  As we were walking, we were not sure if we were heading towards the right direction.  I asked a passerby, a lady, who was so kind.  She actually walked with us, told us to follow her.  She could have just tell us the direction, but she offered to bring us there.  So nice of her.

Mum is a kind hearted woman.  She will meet kind people to help her.  However yesterday on the bus, nobody volunteer to give up seat to her.  The bus was rather crowded and we had to stand.  She was not given a seat when we were taking the bus.

I hope that there will be more kind hearted people around in Singapore to help elderly people like mum.

Good Friday

A plate of fried rice cooked by my mother

At first it was said that she, my mother, would move tomorrow.  However, last minute, my brother called and said he would pick my mum up later.  At first, mum defrost the fish and got ready the cauliflower to be cooked for dinner.  The plan was changed.  She went to bathe and got all the things ready to move out.  Earlier on, my sister and brother-in-law came too.

I woke up in the morning and mum had already prepared breakfast for Ricsson.  She prepared breakfast for me too -- a plate of fried rice with beautiful prawns on top.  I did not take the photo.  Her plate of fried rice, no additional ingredients.  We ate together at the dining table.  I regretted not taking photo.  Later in the afternoon, we ate a plate of glutinous rice together.  Again I never take any photograph.  That was our last meal, shared, and I never kept a copy of it.  Never know that was our last meal.

Glutinous rice cooked by mum on Wednesday 13 April 2022

Mum never waste food.  She is a thrifty person.  There were some glutinous rice left over on Wednesday.  So for lunch we shared a plate of hot glutinous rice and she ate so little.  Taco joined in.  We ate happily, not knowing that mother is going to move out later.

I am having headache now, after all the crying.  I saw mum wiping her tears when she left the house just now.  I too felt very sad that this day she is moving out.  I never felt this sad.  I missed her already even though we can still meet each other again at Yew Tee.  Whenever I thought of her, I feel very sad and my head ache.  I am old already, mum even older -- she will be celebrating 79 years old soon.  We were talking about celebrating her birthday this year.  Looking forward to celebrate her birthday.

I feel so blessed to have mum around.  I am so blessed to have brothers and sister, and my own children.  I was writing about Be Baptized and not long after that, my mood was changed to sadness.   I hope mum can have a long and healthy life.  May God showered her with happiness and long healthy life.

Be Baptized

Isaac's baptism on 2 August 2009

Today is Good Friday, a day where Jesus died for our sins.  Jesus, the Son of God had come into our world.  No other religion had this before, the coming of God as the Son in flesh.  The laws of Moses had required the killing of the best lambs as sacrifices to 'remove sin'.  They pictured the giving up of an innocent life so that sinners could be forgiven.  Jesus fulfills that.  He is the pure, sinless 'Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world' (John 1:29).  He was sacrificed by being nailed to a 'tree', a wooden cross.  There, all the sins of every person went into His body.  There, He paid the full punishment for all sins, so that we could be set free from sin's guilt and pain.  Isaiah, seven hundred years earlier, foresaw this suffering for the 'iniquities' and 'transgressions' (sins) of mankind.

He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us had turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5-6)

Peter, who saw Jesus die, reported the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy.

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed (1 Peter 2:24)

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy... (Titus 3:5)

In baptism one is buried with Christ and also raised with Christs.  Christ's death saves us.  The divine blood, which Jesus poured out at His death, cleanses us.  We meet that saving blood when we are baptized into His death.

And now what are you waiting for?  Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on His name.  (Acts 22:16)

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16)

Isaac's baptism ceremony: the priest pour water on his forehead and I take a towel to wipe off the water.

In our baptism ceremony, there is a need to appoint a Godfather.  He need to be present for the baptism ceremony.  I asked my brother to be Isaac's Godfather.

If you want to be saved, believe in Jesus and be baptized.
