Dora is my companion during mealtime.  She would come to me when I eat.  She would also come to the kitchen when I was preparing food.  She is just so curious about everything.  When I open parcel, she would come and explore also.  She is just so cute.  

In the beginning, it was Isaac who wanted to keep her.  They seek my permission and I was okay with it.  As the days past, my affection for her grows.  Now I like her so much.  

Whenever I have fish, I would give her some of it.  She loves to eat prawns also.  She also eat chicken and crab.  But her favourite is seabass and golden pomfret.

Goodbye Animals

 

Plastic animals toy in the toy box

Clearing some of the things in the house.  This box of animals toys are in very good condition, as good as new.  So we clear this first.  I took a picture and put it up for sale in Facebook.  I put a price of only $5 and the next day, I got endless queries coming in.  

I was working and have no time to respond to the incoming message.  As I was cycling, I could hear all the message coming in.  It was an overwhelming good response for such a cheap price.  When I finished my work, I respond to the questions.  I did not manage to go through all the list of people.  As I was responding to just a few, in the end I managed to sell to a Facebook user already.  

The animals definitely cost more than $5 but I just randomly quote a price.  The animals were very useful.  Can be used as educational toys for children.

Nghee Zhang

 

Nghee Zhang purchased from the market

Last week, 14 June 2021 was dumpling festival.  I managed to purchase a bunch of Nghee Zhang from the market at $5 as shown in the picture above.  Nghee Zhang is tasteless and it is nice to eat with sugar.  It is yellowish on the inside as shown in the picture below.  It just glutinous rice dipped with sugar.  It is nice.

This year I had never eaten Bak Zhang.  Bak Zhang is so expensive now.  Each cost like averagely at least $6.  Then there is no guarantee that it is nice.  As I don't really like eating meat, I decided not to buy any Bak Zhang.  The children don't really like it either.  Then my mother never make any because father just died.  According to her, a few years cannot wrap dumpling.

Longevity noodle

 

Noodles from Crystal Jade

Yesterday was mum's birthday.  She had been sick for almost four days.  Her blood pressure was high.  But after drinking Methi seeds drink, she was better.  I planned to buy durian cake for her but on Thursday night, my brother wanted me to buy longevity noodle for mum.  He said durian cake is too heaty.  

So I went Causeway Point at 11am.  When I reached 5th floor, the shop was all dark and no one was around.  The sign was shown: Closed.  They will only open at 1130am.  So I went to walk around first.  At 1130am, I looked at the menu and I asked the staff, "Do you sell longevity noodle?"  They showed me the noodle page.  They don't sell noodles that are cooked for like 3-4 people.  They only sell noodles that are consumed by 1 person.  So in the end, I bought 2 packet of different noodle.  

In the photograph above, on the left is Ee Fu Mushroom Noodle and on the right is Fried Mee Sua with XO sauce.  The Ee Fu Noodle cost $16.80 and the Fried Mee Sua cost $20.80.  Mum thought one packet of noodle cost around $8.  The portion was very little, but mum ate little only, and 2 packet of noodle was enough for the 3 of us.  

I wanted to have 2 red eggs for mum.  I asked the Crystal Jade staff if they can sell me 2 red eggs.  They said red eggs are only available for dine in.  They don't have red eggs for take away.  So in the end, no red eggs for mum.  

My sister and I did not sing Happy Birthday song for mum, but we wished her Happy Birthday, and said good and auspicious words to her.  After eating the food, we spent some time together.  I taught her how to play Candy Crush.  She likes the game very much.

Pizza Bar (Spicy Tuna)

A good Samaritan gave delivery riders each a Pizza Bar as shown above on last Thursday.  I was picking up delivery at Woods Square, and had parked my bicycle there.  When I returned, above my delivery big box was placed a pizza bar as shown above.  I looked at other riders that was parked around me.  They had it too.  Thank you whoever you are.  I placed it inside my box.  

Back home, I put it in the fridge and last night, I warm it up.  Warming up was so simple.  Just need to put in the microwave for 1 minute and the pizza bar was heated up.  Isaac tried the pizza bar and he said it was nice.

$8 Foodpanda Voucher

 

I used the $8 Foodpanda Voucher to purchase the above items.

Today I received three Pandamart deliveries.  On other day I also delivered Pandamart deliveries.  But today the 2 Pandamart deliveries that I received was so bulky.  I had problem picking up, but I still try, cannot cancel order.  

From now until 15 June 2021, Foodpanda gave $8 voucher to buy from shops with a minimum amount of $15.  Obviously customers are making use of these offer.  I check online and came to know that the bottled drinks (1.5L) cost only $1.49.  From two of the Pandamart deliveries, I had drinks, so many bottles of drinks until I had to carry it all the way up to the customer's premises.  In the end my hand was so painful with red marks.

At first I thought the first case with the mineral water and green tea drinks was bad, but the second one was even worst.  I cannot carried it up to put in my bicycle box.  It was simply too heavy to raise up from my hand.  I had to take out 3 bottled drinks and put them into my front basket.  The photograph above did not showed the 3 additional bottled drinks that I had taken out.  I put the bag into my bicycle box and my pink box was out of shape.  

As I was cycling, I had to cycle slowly from the wobbly bicycle due to the heavy weights.  What if in future there are even more items?  Anyway, I made use of the $8 voucher too, as shown in the uppermost picture.  It cost $17.15 and after deduction I pay $11.64.  For me, its like buying Lactus with 2 free gifts consisting of bread and plasters.

Good Samaritans

Went to work one day on the 5 June 2021.  I went to pick up food and when I returned, I still never noticed anything in the basket.  It was only after I reached the customer's place, when I was taking the food, I discovered a brown packet.  I thought someone had thrown in litter into my basket.  So I went to deliver the food.  After I came back, I looked at the brown packet.  It wrote 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri'.  I took it up and saw something purple.  It was a $2 note inside.  Had someone given me a red packet?

I went working for quite sometimes now, and people who give tips are few.  So far I had only encounter one case of a condominium customer who gave me $2 tip, and another case of HDB customer gave me $2.40.  Then a few cases of 'keep the change' for a few cents of change.  

Sometimes the customer will send message to say no hurry, stay safe.  So there are quite a number of kind people around.  Working in this line is very tiring and legs will have blister also.   But its just so nice to see kind people around.

Another case of kind people is at Woodlands bus interchange.  I was pulling the trolley.  Luckily there were lifts, otherwise I had to carry the trolley all the way up the stairs.  A woman saw me walking towards the lift and she waited patiently for me at the lift.  Then she pressed the lift door opened, she was so patient.  In the lift, there was another man.  When the lift door opened, he pressed the door opened and waited for everyone to go out.  This is definitely a gracious society.

Cebest Anniversary

 

 

 This is a video I had done to remember Cebest. It took me a few years to be able to get over it and to create the video.  Today is Cebest's 15th death anniversary.  

I had always wanted a dog.  Richard bought me a dog, Baby, but due to pregnancy, it had to be given away.  After that Richard left the family.  He returned again after about less than 2 years.  Then one day, his friend lent him a car.  He drove to Pasir Ris and there we saw so many dogs.  We looked around and we liked Cebest.  Love at first sight.  We decided to buy him.  I bought the dog for him.  

But I am the one looking after the dog.  I bathed for him, gave him food and he slept with me.  He followed me everywhere I went.  We were always together.  When I sat at the table to use the computer, he would laid down below the table, waiting patiently for me.  

When I put on the shoes for him, he knew that he was going out.  He would be so happy, jumping about, dashing around, waiting to go out of the house.  Because of the vaccination, he died.  Now I am very scared to bring Dora for vaccination.  Her yearly vaccination is due.  Should I bring her for vaccination?  Dora is 2 years old now.  I had not brought her for vaccination.  

Isaac wanted a dog.  He wanted a Dachshund.  But it was so expensive.  Furthermore I am scared the dog and cat would fight.  I did not hope for another dog.  Two is enough.  Having Baby and Cebest is enough already.  I hope they will be happy now in heaven.
