Precious Time

The clock tower is covered with overgrown plants

Went to Boon Lay Secondary School on 22 August 2008.  This is a gift from the graduating class of 1997.  The clock was stalled and the whole structure covered, cannot be seen.  I had to pushed aside the plants to take the picture and video.  It says 一寸光阴一寸金，寸金难买寸光阴            .

Time is like gold, but no amount of gold can buy time.  An inch of time is an inch of gold, but you can't buy that inch of time with an inch of gold.  

Time passed cannot be reversed too.  Time gone cannot be found again.  Dora died about 2 months back.  Father died one year back.  Jesus came 14 years ago.  

Everyday it is a gift to be able to wake up in the morning.  We can get to choose what we want to do for the day.  Thank God every morning for being able to wake up for another day.  Be good and do good to the people around us and our pets.  We do not know when we are not going to see them next.  Life is so unpredictable, like Dora.

Got money also cannot bring back Dora.  Got money cannot buy back the lost time.  During my working days, I spent hours working, came home and need to cook meals or buy food, do the chores of the house and need to prepare for next day's lessons.  Richard spent his time working too.  There was hardly time together.  No quality time together, but it takes two to tango.  We hardly talk to each other.  And then one day he just suddenly told me that he knew of another girl!!!  I was so surprised and sad and angry that such things happened.  I was taken aback by such behaviour and treatment from him.  

We know each other for 32 years!  In the year 2000 we got separated and he left the house for another woman also.  I prayed for family reunion and in the May 2002 he came back.  After he knew that I started work, he stopped driving taxi.  He took over his aunt's shop business with his sister.  That is where everything change...

Just like how God had communicated with me through the heart and mind, and through dreams, God will reveal himself to you in your life as well.  He will do it in his time, as long as you sincerely ask him.  "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."  (Matthew 7:7-8)

"God, please show yourself to me."  This was what I asked for when I was young.  But God did not show himself to me then.  Perhaps God wants me to learn and experience life first and finally reveal himself in his time.  Anyway, God showed up, communicated with me and what's next?  

I need God to show me the way.  Richard had left the family and he is now married.  Soon after the paper work is done, he got married!  He wore a cross on his neck.  Is that what a disciple of Jesus should do?  

Yesterday I looked through the old stuff and I found a photograph of my first holy communion.  It says God Lives and God Loves.  Take and eat, This is my body.  Take and drink, This is my blood.  Four decades ago, I was at the church receiving my first holy communion.  What does it mean by God Lives?  I do not even know.  Now God still lives, but why is there a broken marriage now.  We spent so much money on the wedding photographs and it was kept in the cupboard to collect dust.  Then in the end we parted.  He said Isaac is my birthday present, and he left us for another woman...

I need God to show me the way, guide me to my next chapter of life.

Come across this article about the author's personal experience with God.  It was rather similar to mine as I recall and it was so nice to know that I am not the only one.  It is so nice to read of such Faith story.  

In the year 2006, I started blogging.  I started with Blogsvertise where I wrote about why I started blogging.  I remembered my bank account only got 3 digit figures.  Richard was working from home too.  He helped me to publish my blogs at peacebella.com, peaceinspire.com, peacemotivation.com and peaceinspiration.com besides all the blogspot.com.  Soon,  I had advertisers came looking for me and I have opportunities to blog for advertisers too.  

While blogging, writing everyday on the computer, I experienced something unusual.  "Music" or "Tune" just came popping out from the heart and brain.  That was on 25 July 2007, Richard's birthday.  I did not know what tune was that.  But I know it was my sister's or brother's song, songs which they listened to.  I called my sister, asked her, but she did not tell me the answer.  Later I searched the internet, YouTube, and eventually found out that the song was Chiquitita.  I was so touched to know the song, first time I listened to the song and the title means little girl.  

Similarly, the author of the article experienced " a tune popped into her head, like a jingle you hear on television that stays with you the entire day"...  see the image below:

 That was how God was trying to contact me and the author.  The lyrics of the song Chiquitita was like what God was trying to tell me.

   

 The story behind the song Chiquitita -- Chiquitita is a song by the legendary Swedish pop group ABBA. Lyrically, Chiquitita sees the singer encouraging a good friend Chiquitita, who is downcast and sorrowful, to look at the brighter side of life and not let their sorrow to enchain and control them.

MBS Staycation

 

MBS hotel stay -- can see the big balcony

Had MBS staycation for several times.  This time is the first time I get a big balcony like that shown in the photograph above.  Watch the video of the whole room here.  It was so nice.  Not only was it spacious, they even have sofa for you to sit at the balcony.  There was also a side table for you to put drinks and food.  Staying at MBS, you also can book slots for the swimming pool, gym and spa.  It was very useful time spent over there.  The most fun time spend there was going to the casino!

Food Court at MBS - Singapore Fried Noodle

Yesterday being Wednesday, the food court was not crowded.  This is the second time I going to buy Soft shell crab fried hokkien noodle.  It is expensive and cost $18, but it was good.  The soft shell crab was very crispy.  They packed the soft-shell crab separately as shown below in the paper box.  I asked the stallholder to put in 2 scoop of chilli.  Then I add in 5 small lime!  It was nice with more lime.  The noodle tasted spicy and a bit sour and saltiness from the crab.

It was very fun in the casino.  I played Jackpot and blackjack at the casino.  I would like to go casino again.
